As part of its East Coast expansion plans, the European fashion brand Mango has launched two new locations in Boston and Washington, D.C.
Mango has opened a store at Westfield Montgomery, the premier shopping centre in the Rockville, Potomac, and Bethesda area, right in the middle of the Capitol Region. The company intends to open three more locations in the area, targeting a variety of consumer demographics, at 950 F Street, Tysons Corner Centre, and Pentagon City.
Concurrently, Mango has launched a flagship store at the largest shopping centre in Massachusetts, the Natick Mall, marking its historic entry into the Boston market. In 2024, Mango plans to open two more stores in the same area.
The Woman line is the only one available in the recently opened stores, which also feature the brand’s cutting-edge New Med store concept, which is distinguished by sustainable design components and Mediterranean-inspired aesthetics. The action is a part of Mango’s grand ambition to open 30 retail locations nationwide by 2024 with the goal of ranking the US among its top three markets.
“We are thrilled to be expanding in the US with our new stores in Washington, D.C. and Boston, two key markets on the East Coast,” said Mango’s director of expansion and franchises, Daniel López.
Mango has been present in the United States since 2006. Its expansion journey in the United States commenced in 2022 with the inauguration of its flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Since then, the company has strategically expanded its footprint, focusing on key metropolitan areas and high-traffic shopping hubs, including Manhattan, Miami, Orlando, Texas, Georgia, and California.
Earlier this year, Mango opened a store in San Diego, and launched in Pennsylvania with a store in King of Prussia shopping center, the state’s biggest mall.
Moreover, Mango recently introduced its omnichannel loyalty program, Mango likes you, in the US, aiming to foster deeper connections with customers by offering rewards tied to the brand’s core values.
