
According to data from the Unleashed Manufacturers’ Health Index, sales for small and medium-sized clothing manufacturers in the UK decreased by 40 per cent in the first quarter of the year.

The manufacturing category with the biggest loss was apparel.
Nonetheless, the index also demonstrated a notable improvement in clothing’s year-over-year performance, with revenue rising by 14 per cent from the same time previous year.
The index also showed that e-commerce investors were seeing high returns on their investments.
Moreover, two-thirds (68 per cent) of UK businesses now use or have used a platform similar to Amazon, Shopify, or WooCommerce for online sales, indicating that they have expanded into B2C ecommerce as well.
