Sustainable cashmere with a trackable journey from farm to garment has been introduced by blockchain-driven sustainable fibre supplier Nativa.
Strict standards for corporate social responsibility, land management, and animal care have approved Nativa Cashmere. Exceeding the parameters set forth by the Sustainable Fibre Alliance, Nativa incorporates additional requirements that extend beyond farming and have a positive impact on the livelihoods of entire farming communities.
The debut comes after the sustainable Merino wool success of Chargeurs Group’s Nativa and the recent introduction of regenerative cotton on a worldwide scale.
Collaborating with Mongolian nomadic farmers, Nativa pays them individual visits to gain insights from their practices and tailors its courses to meet the unique requirements of each farm. Because Nativa’s techniques are designed to fit this way of life, families can enhance living conditions while preserving long-standing cultural customs.
The end user may learn about the product’s complete path from farm to brand by scanning a QR code on the label of a Nativa Cashmere garment. This contributes to complete transparency across the supply chain.
The first forty Nativa certified herders will supply the restricted quantity, which will be sourced with consideration for the smaller herd numbers of goats as well as the customary family-run farms’ natural growing and harvesting seasons.
“A global first, Nativa is offering the world’s finest sustainable cashmere with traceable blockchain technology. We are starting directly with our farming partners in Mongolia and personally visiting each other to improve animal welfare and environmental and social impact,” said Maria Estrada, Nativa global director.
