On the occasion of its third anniversary, Flipkart’s budget-conscious fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform Shopsy announced that it had amassed 1.4 million sellers and surpassed 330 million mobile app downloads.
“We celebrate this milestone with our customers, sellers, and partners, whose support has established us as the favourite hyper-value e-commerce platform,” said Shopsy’s business head Prathyusha Agarwal.
With a concentration on non-metropolitan consumers, about 70 per cent of Shopsy’s clientele are based in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities as well as rural areas. Young Indians are also catered to by the platform, and millennials and Gen Z make up around 90 per cent of new users.
Walmart-owned Flipkart launched Shopsy as a business to customer e-commerce platform in 2021. The platform’s product categories range from ethnic wear for men and women to watches, personal care goods, and kitchen ware among others, according to its website.
