Filippa K, the Swedish fashion brand, has collaborated with Nedap – a RFID solution provider – for the integration of its inventory management platform.
The technology will help the brand increase inventory accuracy and product availability throughout its retail supply chains and stores. It will, therefore, help the brand in offering omnichannel capabilities to streamline the customer experience.
Emelie Berggren, fulfillment director at Filippa K, mentions “One major objective was to have a lean fulfillment process, with only the products on the shelf that are strictly needed. This way, we minimise waste and this is also what our community expects us to do. RFID technology helps us to always have the right products available online and in our stores.”
The brand opted for a solution that could be easily integrated with their existing ERP-system.
Nedap’s API-based software-as-a-service platform allowed the brand to do so providing the best management of inventory and therefore streamlining the process reducing errors and time required.
The brand could easily feed the most up-to-date product availability information into the e-commerce platform from Episerver and Sitoo POS and Unified Commerce Platform. This helped in streamlining the entire process and therefore enhancing the customer offline and online shopping experience.
Soon, after the deployment of the technology the brand decided to implement service allowing customers to return to any desired store. This was possible by centralising the inventory to smooth the item transferring between stores or back to the distribution centres, which allows Filippa K to turn a loss into a sale.
