The Spring Summer 2019 edition of Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week came to a celebratory end with the Rainbow Show as its Grand Finale on October 13. For the first time in India since the decriminalization of Article 377, a show was focused entirely upon Inclusivity of different sexual orientations and celebrating Pride in India.
The unique finale witnessed about 40 Indian designers showcasing their take on Pride with a thematic garment that included all colours of Pride, namely- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet in order to symbolize diversity and peace. Each designer walked hand in hand with their models at the end of the show.
Among the presenting designers were Abhishek Gupta , Abraham & Thakore, Alpana Neeraj, AM:PM, Amit Aggarwal, Gaurav Gupta, Huemn, Kommal Sood, Lovebirds, Manish Malhotra, Manoviraj Khosla, Mynah’s Reynu Taandon, Namrata Joshipura, Nandita Basu, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Pankaj & Nidhi, Payal Jain, Poonam Bhagat, Rabani & Rakha, Raghavendra Rathore, Rahul Mishra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rimzim Dadu, Rina Dhaka, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Samant Chauhan, Shivan & Narresh, Siddartha Tytler, Suneet Verma, Varun Bahl, Vineet Bahl, Vivek Karunakaran and Wendell Rodricks.
