With a just a month to go, Shima Seiki, the computerised knitting machine manufacturer, is geared up to display its knitting technology innovation at the upcoming SPIN EXPO.
The 34th session of the much-awaited show begins in Shanghai (China) on 3 September and will conclude on 5 September.
The major highlight from Shima Seiki, along with its Hong Kong subsidiary, Shima Seiki (Hong Kong), will be the ‘SDS-ONE APEX series’ 3D design system.
The virtual sampling capabilities of this 3D design system will help streamline the production process. The ultrarealistic simulation capabilities allow easy evaluation of design variations without having to create physical samples. This saves the valuable resources and time that are otherwise invested in the creation of these physical samples.
And there’s more from Shima Seiki to showcase!
The world will see Shima Seiki preview its brand new “yarnbankTM” digital yarn sourcing website at the event. With yarnbankTM, users can search and download the digital yarn data for using it in virtual sampling through APEX.
Downloading yarn data will help eliminate the need of scanning each yarn, while improving the production planning and accuracy of simulation.
Moreover, for yarn firms, yarnbankTM will provide all new channel for sales promotion. It further digitally connects the entire supply chain from yarn and apparel companies to knit manufacturers.
Another highlight from the company will be a collection of knit samples and WHOLEGARMENT knitwear that are manufactured entirely through the machine without having the need to connect the garment through linking and sewing. This ensures retaining the characteristics like superior fit, comfort and draping even without the seam.
