
Bangladesh Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has recently expressed hopes that Bangladesh and Indonesia would be able to sign a preferential bilateral trade agreement soon.
The minister reportedly expressed his optimism in this regard at a meeting with Heru Hartanto Subolo, the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh in Dhaka even as at the meeting Heru Hartanto Subolo reportedly also agreed to advance the signing of a trade agreement.
This is as per a press communiqué issued in this regard.
Both the countries had earlier formed a trade negotiation committee in this regard, which has already reportedly convened three meetings to this end while the fourth one was expected to take place next month in Indonesia and there is a possibility of a final discussion in the coming meeting, reportedly claimed Tipu Munshi.
