The Tata group’s e-commerce business, Neu, is expected to enter the quick commerce market under the name Neu Flash and roll it out to a select group of customers offering a variety of goods, including fashion, as customer demand in the metro areas continues to grow, according to sources with knowledge.
Over the next several weeks, Neu Flash will progressively reach more users. Beginning with specific stock keeping units (SKUs), Tata Cliq will manage fashion and lifestyle products.
E-commerce and other retail formats are being disrupted by quick commerce, which, according to a new Bernstein note, is expanding more quickly than contemporary retail chains like Reliance Retail, Dmart, and Spencer Retail. This is one of the reasons why consumer platforms are responding to the shift by preparing to deliver a variety of goods outside of groceries in 10–20 minutes.
Tata Neu has been urged to exercise caution when spending large sums of money on consumer incentives, so it will be fascinating to see how it handles the fast commerce sector. The market leaders are also well-funded and making every effort to gain market share.
Another top industry executive stated, “This holiday season has been good for fashion, and we’ve noticed a slight demand for basic items like kurtas, solid-colored shirts and pants that can be delivered quickly.” Fashion returns are already possible with Blinkit, which is a crucial feature of this market.
