Brother International Corporation is donating up to 100 sewing machines to support the manufacturers with the production of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Beverly Knits, Inc., SanMar and Los Angeles Apparel are the first to receive the donation.
The aforementioned companies are also a part of alliance of US apparel brands and textile companies that are responding to the immediate call from the White House for accelerating the production of face masks in battle against COVID-19.
Other than the Coalition, Brook Brother is another company that Brother will be donating the machines.
All these apparel units will be receiving the machines as a donation in the fight against the pandemic. These additional machines will help in increasing the production capacity to meet the growing demand of the protective gears and face masks.
“Given the severe and growing shortage of personal protective equipment, Brother is proud to donate our products to support these stalwart manufacturers with their efforts in making masks for our frontline workers,” said Don Cummins, President, Brother International Corporation USA.
