
Ralph Lauren, the US fashion label, has seen its net profits touch US $ 182 million in Q2. That’s 7 per cent rise from what it was during Q2 of previous year (US $ 170 million).
The company believes the jump is owing to tight control over costs and because of strong demand for its polo shirts. Also, there has been increasing demand for tweed jackets in China and Europe.
The revenues during the second quarter too increased to US $ 1,706 million. Notably, the revenues saw a rise of 1 per cent from the same period last year.
Ralph Lauren is a world-renowned brand that is known for its exquisite products in categories ranging from apparels and accessories to home and fragrances.
With headquarters in New York, Ralph Lauren today has more than 200 stores with with over 23,000 people.
