The second consecutive edition of Brands of India, which included more than 150 Indian clothing brands and white label manufacturers, was successfully concluded by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI).
Over 2000 guests from 60 nations attended the just-ended expo, demonstrating India’s strong appeal as a top provider of high-quality clothing worldwide. Retailers, wholesalers, and importers from a variety of markets, including the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany and many more, made up the purchasers.
Total Indian garment exports are predicted to reach US $ 17 billion in 2024, a 5-7 percentage rise over 2023, despite the disruptive climate that is now prevailing in global apparel manufacturing hubs like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and China, where exports continue to remain lukewarm. Under CEPA, India’s ready-made garment (RMG) exports to the United Arab Emirates are anticipated to gain additional momentum in recent years.
“The impressive quality, wide variety, and affordable prices of Indian clothing are demonstrated by the order bookings and lead generation at the event,” said Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI. “We are sure that we will be able to capitalise on and propel additional export growth with the sourcing connections we acquired at the show.”
Due to its low labour costs, flexible production capabilities, high-quality products, competitive pricing, prompt delivery, effective logistics systems, and proficiency in white-label contract manufacturing, India is widely acknowledged as a top sourcing destination for consumers looking for high-quality apparel.
